Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Aperture Studio (hereinafter “Company”) and users of the digital content platform aperturestudio.co (hereinafter “Service”). The Service sells and provides digital content including photography, videography, and design-related PDF guides, lecture videos, and bundle packages.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The terms used in these Terms of Service are defined as follows.
- ① “Service” means the digital content sales platform and all related services provided by the Company.
- ② “User” means any member or non-member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- ③ “Member” means a person who has provided personal information to the Service and completed member registration, thereby being able to use the Service on an ongoing basis.
- ④ “Digital Content” means all non-physical works sold by the Company, including PDF files, video files, and bundle packages.
- ⑤ “Purchase” means the act by which a user pays and acquires the right to use digital content.
- ⑥ “Access Commencement” means the moment a user first views, downloads, or begins streaming purchased digital content. After access commencement, withdrawal of purchase may be restricted pursuant to Article 17, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)
① These Terms take effect upon being posted within the Service or notified to users by email.
② The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable laws.
③ If the Terms are amended, the Company will post notice of the changes within the Service at least 7 days before the effective date. For material changes, notice will be given at least 30 days in advance.
④ If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue use of the Service and request account deletion. Continued use of the Service after notice of amended Terms will be deemed acceptance of the changes.
Article 4 (Membership and Accounts)
① Users may apply for membership in accordance with the procedures established by the Company, and registration as a member is completed upon the Company's acceptance of the application.
② The Company may refuse to accept an application or subsequently terminate a service agreement in the following cases.
- - Application submitted using another person's information
- - False information provided or required information not submitted to the Company
- - Previously lost membership status due to a violation of these Terms
- - Applicant is under 14 years of age
③ Members are responsible for keeping their account information secure and may not share or transfer their account information to third parties.
④ Members must promptly update their account information when changes occur; the Company is not responsible for any disadvantage resulting from failure to do so.
Article 5 (Purchase and Use of Digital Content)
① Users may purchase digital content through the payment methods provided within the Service.
② Upon completion of a purchase, a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content is granted to the individual purchaser.
③ Purchased content may only be used for the purchaser's personal learning and reference purposes; commercial use requires a separate license agreement.
④ Due to the nature of digital content, download or viewing is available immediately after purchase, in which case withdrawal of purchase may be restricted pursuant to Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
⑤ The same terms of use apply to all content included in a bundle package.
Article 6 (Intellectual Property)
① Copyright and intellectual property rights in the Service and all digital content within the Service belong to the Company or the respective content creator.
② Users are granted only a non-exclusive license for personal use of purchased content; copyright in the content itself is not transferred.
③ Even for purchased content, the following acts are expressly prohibited.
- - Reselling, redistributing, or sharing all or part of the content with third parties
- - Modifying, editing, or creating derivative works from the content and distributing them publicly
- - Removing watermarks, copyright notices, or other markings included in the content
- - Using content for commercial purposes such as lectures or training courses (without a separate agreement)
④ If a copyright infringement is confirmed, the Company may immediately suspend the user's access to the Service and take legal action.
Article 7 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following acts when using the Service.
- ① Misappropriating another person's account information or using the Service with false information
- ② Reproducing, distributing, or publishing information obtained through the Service without the Company's prior consent
- ③ Unauthorized reproduction, storage, sharing, or redistribution of purchased digital content
- ④ Intentionally disrupting Service operations or causing overload on servers
- ⑤ Transmitting or posting data containing malicious code or viruses
- ⑥ Collecting, storing, or disclosing other users' personal information
- ⑦ Any act prohibited by applicable laws or these Terms, or contrary to public order and morals
If a user engages in any of the above prohibited acts, the Company may restrict the user's Service access or terminate the service agreement without prior notice.
Article 8 (Changes and Suspension of Service)
① The Company may change the content, operation, and terms of the Service, and will provide advance notice of such changes through in-Service announcements.
② The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in the following circumstances.
- - System maintenance, upgrades, or failure recovery work is required
- - Force majeure events such as natural disasters, power outages, or communication failures occur
- - There is a reasonable operational reason making suspension unavoidable
③ As a rule, service suspension will be announced in advance; however, in urgent circumstances, notice may be given after the fact.
④ If the Company permanently terminates the Service, it will provide at least 30 days' advance notice and process refunds for unaccessed content.
Article 9 (Disclaimers)
① The Company is not liable for failure to provide the Service due to reasons beyond the Company's reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, hacking, or communication failures.
② The Company does not guarantee any income or results expected by users through the Service, and is not liable for outcomes resulting from use of the content.
③ The Company does not intervene in or bear responsibility for disputes between users or between users and third parties.
④ The Company is not responsible for any disadvantage resulting from a user's failure to check Service announcements.
⑤ The Company's maximum liability related to the Service shall not exceed the fees paid by the user to the Company in the preceding 6 months.
Article 10 (Privacy Protection)
The Company complies with applicable laws and the Company's Privacy Policy in order to protect users' personal information. Matters relating to the collection, use, retention, and destruction of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is available at any time within the Service.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
① The laws of the Republic of Korea shall govern the interpretation of these Terms and any disputes between the Company and users.
② Disputes arising between the Company and users in connection with the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.
③ The foregoing jurisdictional provisions shall apply even where a user's address or domicile is unclear or where the user resides abroad.
